Getting started

Set up NitroDialer in about 20 minutes: sign in with Dialpad, connect your CRM, build a campaign and make your first calls.

NitroDialer is a power dialer that sits on top of Dialpad and your CRM. Agents work a queue of leads from one screen; every call outcome is written back to the CRM automatically; managers get live and historical numbers for coaching. Setup takes about 20 minutes for an admin.

What you need

  • A Dialpad account for every agent who will dial. Agents call from the Dialpad softphone embedded in NitroDialer, so they need the Dialpad web or desktop app license, not just a mobile or desk phone.
  • A CRM: HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM or Pipedrive. One CRM is connected per workspace. You can also run campaigns from CSV files without a CRM.
  • Chrome or Edge on the agent's computer, with microphone access allowed for Dialpad.
  • For consumer (B2C) calling: a subscription to your national do-not-call list (the US National Do Not Call Registry, Canada's National DNCL, the UK TPS and CTPS, or Australia's Do Not Call Register) so you can upload it. See Compliance.

1. Sign in with Dialpad

Go to Sign in and choose Sign in with Dialpad. NitroDialer creates one workspace per Dialpad company. The first person to sign in from your company becomes the workspace admin; everyone after that joins the same workspace as an agent unless you invited them with another role.

2. Register Dialpad call events

In Settings → Integrations, select Register webhook once. This tells Dialpad to send NitroDialer a signed event every time a call rings, connects or hangs up, which is how the dialer knows when to move on and how talk time is measured. See Connect Dialpad.

3. Connect your CRM

In Settings → Integrations, choose your CRM and sign in with an account that can read your leads or contacts and write notes. NitroDialer fills in recommended status updates for each call outcome (you can change them later). Guides: HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, Pipedrive.

4. Choose your calling region and upload your do-not-call list

In Settings → Compliance, pick your calling region — United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Australia or Custom. It sets your calling hours, national list, opt-out retention and holiday calendar; you can edit any of them. Then upload your national do-not-call list file and enter the date you downloaded it. Consumer campaigns won't dial until a list within your region's freshness limit is on file (31 days in the US and Canada). Business-to-business campaigns don't need it, except in the UK.

5. Build a campaign

In Campaigns → New campaign, pick where leads come from:

  • a CRM list (HubSpot list, Salesforce list view, Zoho custom view or Pipedrive filter) that stays in sync,
  • a CSV file, or
  • inbound leads pushed by a webhook the moment they're created.

Campaigns start as drafts. Review the pacing and calling hours, then select Activate. See Campaigns.

6. Dial

Agents open Dial, sign in to the Dialpad panel on the left once, join the campaign and select Start dialing. In power mode the next lead dials automatically after a short wrap-up countdown. Number keys pick the outcome and Enter saves it.

What happens after each call

  1. The agent saves an outcome (for example Appointment set or No answer).
  2. NitroDialer decides when the lead comes back, if at all. See Dispositions and retry rules.
  3. A note with the outcome, talk time, agent notes and — when Dialpad provides them — the AI summary and recording link is posted to the CRM record. The status field is updated if the outcome has a mapping.
  4. A call.completed webhook is sent to any endpoints you've set up. See Webhooks.
